Wedding Bells are Ringing.....

Haven't written anything for some time now. I wanted to put up some photos along the way but just didn't get the chance. But as the title says, wedding bells are indeed ringing for Lynn and myself and we'll be getting married on 12th April 2009, Easter Sunday.

It all started some time last year when we were looking at jewelery and we both saw and liked a ring which I ended up buying for Lynn. We decided there and then to get our wedding rings. After that, it was down to looking for a place and fixing a date for the wedding. We had intially thought of having it during the chinese 7th month or maybe earlier in the year and finally decided on April 12th without realizing that it would be Easter Sunday. So we had a pleasant surprise when we found out. For location, we didn't really explore many places. We had heard about Amara Sanctuary at Sentosa and decided to go there for dinner one evening. It so happened that there was a birthday celebration going on at the Glass Pavillion and it seemed like a really nice place to have a wedding. We decided to use the place and after that it was just to contact the hotel and make the arrangements.

Now about 2 weeks ago, 1 day before the last day of Chinese New Year, we decided to get our Ang Pow boxes decorated. We had bought 2 bright pink Ang Pow boxes earlier and we brought them to our usual florist. We chose some flowers and gave him room to make an arrangement for us. Take a look at the photos below. I think they look nice!

The strange thing is that on the next day, which was the last day of Chinese New Year, I got my first "Wedding Ang Pow" from my good friend Derek Yong. He's working and living in Australia and so he won't be able to make it for the wedding. Well, Derek drove all the way to my clinic just to give me the ang pow. He flew back to Australia that very night. Hey to Derek, Jane and Baby Joshua - THANKS!

Valentines Day flowers that I got for Lynn.

We took a hamper someone gave us for Chinese New Year and redid it with our florist. Same guy who did the Glass bowl container thing you see behind which is in our home photos.
